Under her leadership, Tech Herfrica has implemented programmes that equip marginalised women with digital skills, financial literacy, and access to markets, enabling them to build sustainable livelihoods and participate confidently in the digital economy. Key initiatives such as EquipHer4Growth and HerLocalMarket support women entrepreneurs with practical tools, training, and resources to grow income-generating ventures and strengthen financial independence.
Speaking on the recognition, Imade Bibowei-Osuobeni said:
“Financial inclusion goes beyond access to services. It is about empowerment, informed choice, and opportunity. This recognition affirms the importance of ensuring that women and girls in rural communities are not left behind as the world becomes increasingly digital.”

Imade’s selection places her among a distinguished group of global awardees recognised in 2025 for transformative work across continents. Other honourees include Professor Annamaria Lusardi, Jeroo Billimoria, John Hope Bryant, Tiffany Aliche (The Budgetnista), and Vivian Tu (Your Rich BFF).
