TCW Academy Ltd. is launching The Rooted Girl Initiative, a school-based initiative created to help girls better understand who they are, recognise their worth, develop emotional resilience and make healthy, intentional decisions.
The initiative will commence with activities in Lagos around the International Day of the Girl Child, an annual global observance that draws attention to the rights, wellbeing and opportunities of girls.
The first phase will see 300 copies of the Spirit, Soul & Body Handbook distributed in selected locations, reaching girls across public and private secondary schools, with Lagos being the pilot state.
The Spirit, Soul & Body Handbook serves as the core resource and framework for The Rooted Girl Initiative. Developed by TCW Academy, the handbook provides practical guidance for young girls and women around identity, emotional resilience, boundaries and purposeful living.
The school engagements will feature a three-hour interactive workshop built around three core pillars:
Self-Awareness • Emotional Resilience • Boundary Setting
Through conversations, reflection and practical activities, participants will be encouraged to understand themselves better, develop emotional strength and build the confidence to establish healthy boundaries.

The initiative is designed to reach girls at a critical stage of development, particularly those in their penultimate and final years of secondary school.
In addition to the workshops and distribution of the handbook, TCW Academy will collect feedback and conduct pre- and post-workshop surveys to better understand the experiences of participating girls and measure the outcomes of the programme.
The Rooted Girl Initiative is part of TCW Academy’s broader commitment to equipping women and girls to rebuild with confidence, rediscover their identity, develop resilience and make wise decisions that shape purposeful lives.
The initiative will begin with the Lagos and is intended to expand to more schools and communities as the programme develops.
